Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 2, 2026
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how I, Dom Goldsworthy-Slatford ("the Developer", "I", "me"), handle information across my iOS applications: World Clock and Easy Camera.
As an independent developer based in the United Kingdom, I believe your data belongs to you. My apps are designed with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy: I do not want, and cannot access, your personal files or usage habits.
Data Collection and Usage
I do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.
- No Tracking: My apps do not use third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or Firebase) or advertising identifiers
- No Accounts: You are not required to create an account to use these apps
- No Data Harvesting: I do not collect your name, email address, location, or IP address through the apps
App-Specific Functionality
World Clock
World Clock provides time zone information and secure encrypted media storage. The app does not collect any personal data or usage information.
Secure Vault: The app includes an optional encrypted media vault protected by a PIN code. This vault allows you to store photos and videos securely.
Encryption: All files stored within the vault are encrypted on your device using AES-GCM-256 encryption before being stored. Each file is encrypted with a unique encryption key derived from your master password. I cannot decrypt or access your files \u2013 only you hold the keys.
iCloud Storage: If you enable iCloud sync, encrypted files are stored on your personal iCloud Drive. The files remain encrypted during transmission and storage. I do not have access to your iCloud account, your encryption keys, or your encrypted files. All iCloud storage is managed entirely by Apple's secure infrastructure, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Authentication: Your PIN code is hashed and stored securely in the device's Keychain using Apple's security framework. The PIN and master password never leave your device and are never transmitted to me or any external servers.
Photos & Files Access: To import photos or videos into the secure vault, you must grant permission to access your photo library or files. The app uses this permission only to import files you explicitly select. Original files remain in your Photos library or file system; encrypted copies are stored separately in the vault.
Master Password: A unique master password is generated locally on your device during setup. This password is essential for recovering access to your encrypted files. The master password is displayed once and can be viewed in app settings. Store it safely \u2013 if lost, encrypted data cannot be recovered.
Easy Camera
Camera & Photos Access: This app requires access to your device camera and photo library to function. When you grant permission to use the camera, the app can take photos and videos. When you grant permission to access your photo library, the app can save captured media directly to your device.
Local Processing: All photos and videos taken are saved directly to your device's Photos library. No images are uploaded to any third-party servers or shared with the developer. All captured media remains on your device under your complete control.
In-App Gallery: The app provides a convenient way to view recently captured photos within the application. This gallery only displays media you have taken using Easy Camera and does not access other photos in your library.
Data Storage
Any preferences or settings you configure within my applications are stored locally on your device only. I do not maintain servers that collect or store user data from my applications. All data processing occurs entirely on your device.
Third-Party Services
While I do not collect your data, the apps interact with the following services to function:
- App Store: Handles all payments and subscriptions. I do not see your credit card or billing information
- iCloud Drive: World Clock can optionally sync encrypted files to your personal iCloud Drive. All iCloud services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. I cannot access your iCloud data
- iOS System Services: Easy Camera uses iOS system APIs to access the camera and save photos to your Photos library. World Clock uses iOS Keychain for secure credential storage. These services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
My applications do not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. Your use of my applications is completely private.
Children's Privacy
Easy Camera is specifically designed for use by children. Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and GDPR-K requirements:
- The app does not collect any personal information from children or any other users
- There are no social media integrations, advertisements, or in-app tracking
- All photos remain stored locally on the device
- No data is transmitted to external servers
As I do not collect any personal information, my applications are safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.
Legal Compliance (UK & EU)
In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and EU consumer protection laws:
Data Controller: I act as the data controller only for the purpose of responding to support inquiries you initiate directly with me.
Support Requests: If you contact me via email for support, I will use your email address and the information you provide solely to resolve your issue. This support correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to address your inquiry and may be deleted once resolved.
Trader Information: My contact information and business details, as required for EU/UK compliance, are available on the App Store product page and on this website's About page.
Security
Since my applications do not collect or transmit personal data to external servers, there is no personal information at risk of interception or data breach. All data remains securely on your device under your control, protected by your device's built-in security features.
World Clock Encryption: The World Clock vault uses industry-standard AES-GCM-256 encryption to protect your files. Each file is encrypted with a unique key derived from your master password using HKDF (HMAC-based Key Derivation Function). Your encryption keys are generated and stored only on your device, never transmitted or stored externally. If you enable iCloud sync, only the encrypted files are uploaded \u2013 the encryption keys remain on your device. This ensures zero-knowledge encryption: even if someone gained access to your iCloud Drive, they could not decrypt your files without your PIN and master password.
Data Loss Warning: Because of the strong encryption used in World Clock, if you lose both your PIN and your master password, your encrypted files cannot be recovered. There is no backdoor or recovery mechanism. Store your master password safely.
Your Rights
As I do not collect or store personal data on external servers, there is no personal information to access, modify, or delete from my systems. You maintain complete control over any locally stored application data and can manage it through your device settings or by uninstalling the application.
World Clock Vault Data: All encrypted files in the World Clock vault are stored on your device and optionally on your personal iCloud Drive (if you enable sync). You can delete files through the app's trash management system or by deleting the app entirely. If you have enabled iCloud sync, you can manage synced data through your iCloud Drive settings. Deleting the app or clearing iCloud data will permanently remove your encrypted files and they cannot be recovered.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in my apps or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. I encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
